PiGTaiLs!!!

Rosie has pigtails...

So, she now has pigtails, but they come at a price.  You have to be willing to wrestle her down, be REALLY fast, work with a moving target and deal with the highest pitch squeal you've ever heard (seriously, the highest and the loudest)!  However, it turns out so cute, I think it might be worth it.
Getting her to sit still and pose for a picture comes at nearly the same price, so I was excited to get a few of her beautiful smile!
Enjoy!

A Big Boy Bike

So, we decided it was time to by Cruz a big boy bike...
We were at the park on a play date, when all the girls were riding "big" bikes and Cruz was riding a little trike trying with all his might to keep up, while his knees were hitting him in the chest as he pedaled.  It was a little humiliating, and daddy decided to spoil Cruz on his day off.
We tried to get him to choose a different bike that was a little larger, but once he put his sights on this one, it was all over.  It didn't matter what we said, he still wanted the transformer bike, none of the others were as cool!

Cruz was trying so hard to be "helpful" while daddy was putting his bike together...
so, I distracted him and he posed a few good ones for me:)

"Seriously, why didn't you just pay the 15 bucks and by the one that was already put together!"

A happy boy and daddy...now that the bike was FINALLY put together!  SO sweet!
It's still difficult pedaling up-hill in our amazing yard!

...too hard!

A tired daddy and a frustrated Cruz...but it's ALL worth it!

So, funny story.  We were picking out helmets and we started with the 3+...too small.  So, we tried the 5+, it seemed like it would work...got it home and it doesn't fit him either!
Cruz is so excited he can hardly stand it.  He came inside red faced and purely exhausted!
Many more fun days to come!

Girlfriends

GIRL FRIENDS...

This is my book club and we were saying goodbye to one of our best girl friends. She moved to Utah, it was sad, but has led me to contemplate how blessed I am to have such amazing friends.
I've been thinking about life in Tennessee with my family back west.
There is no way I could survive living out here without my friends.  They are always there to cheer me up and make me smile.  I can count on them to be a babysitter last minute when an unavoidable commitment comes up.  It seems when I'm having a rough day, they are always there.
Today, another of my girlfriends is coming over to say goodbye.  She is amazing.  She loves my kids nearly as much as I do.  Although I will be sad to see her go, I can't help but just be happy I had the opportunity to know her!
Aren't you thankful for your friends?
