Change is in the AIR.

So, this is a post I wrote shortly before we moved.  I don't know why I didn't post it, but I am now;)  I'm working on getting the photos off my camera so I can share our newest so called "adventures" here in MT! Chow!

With the move steadily getting closer, I am forcing myself to focus on the happy things.  The places, people, and memories that have made this place so great.  Cruz helped me start packing the first few boxes today.  I never would've thought this bitter-sweet feeling would be here.  We were packing up Cruz's closet, which involved organizing bins of clothes that I've been slowing adding to since we've been here.  It was fun to look back and see, through the clothes, how much my kids have grown and it caused me to reflect on how much I've grown as well.  Life, and I say Life, but really mean Heavenly Father, has a way of guiding us to the people and the places that will help us grow the most; and that has definitely been true for me over the last two years.  When we first arrived in Knoxville, I didn't think time could go fast enough, and now I find myself wishing and hoping that time will just slow down!  My kids are growing up too fast and 2 years went by like a flash.  So, now, I guess it's time to look forward to the next adventure that lies in wait for it's chance to mold and shape us.  Hopefully, wherever we end up, we will meet some more amazing people like we've met here.  In the end of all this, I look back and think I will never forget these special people.  They, and this place, will always hold a special place in my heart...forever.

Daddy's Working the Night Shift...

Which means Cruz is doing lots of this...
I mentioned earlier that Mario Cart is his new favorite thing.
Here's the evidence!
I have been trying to pack and organize all of our stuff.
Sometimes it seems like an endless and impossible task.
Rosie thinks it is a fun game to hide things in boxes half packed,
as well as unpack the already packed items!
Nap time is the most crucial time of my day now, and that explains why Cruz has become so good at Mario Cart!
I absolutely despise the night shift!
I didn't think I saw Tay very much when he was working the long days that come with being in the thick of a surgery rotation.
Now that he is working night, I am finding they are MUCH worse!
He goes to work at 5:30pm and doesn't come home until about 8am, which is when I am usually waking up.
This means I see him for about 1 hour while we eat dinner, before he heads back to the hospital.
He is really liking surgery though, and has had lots of compliments while doing so.
I want him to do something he LOVES, but I hope the hours don't end up like this!
Packing.Packing.Packing.
I can't wait 'til it's over!
How do people keep up with the house when they're living in box city?

He's LESS than Thrilled!!

Swimming Lessons
(WARNI NG: long post, with lots of pics!)
Cruz is taking swim lessons after he nearly drowned several weeks ago.  He does REALLY good once he is in the water with his amazing teacher Monica.  She is so good with him and he knows when he is with her, it is time to get down to business.
That could be the reason why we can't even mention the word "swimming" without him having an absolute panic attack.  It really is quite pitiful.  I was starting to worry that maybe we had scarred him for life, because he refused to go swimming, even if we promised Monica wouldn't be there.
Today we finally coaxed him into going.  He was very skeptical at first, be eventually we were able to get him to loosen up a little.
After a few minutes he would swim back and forth between Taylor and I without any help or flippers!
I was pretty impressed.  A few weeks ago he would have a total melt down if water got in his face, now he is sticking his head in the water with his eyes open.  He really has come so far!
His lessons aren't over yet, but he has learned so much already!
I am so thankful for good friends who take care of us.
I was traumatized when Cruz fell in the pool and nearly drown a few weeks ago and Monica was so sweet to help us out.
I know her time is precious right now, so we really appreciate her helping us out!
He may throw a fit in the beginning, but by the end he is always smiling and giving us a thumbs up!
The Proud Swimmer
So, now to the one who DEMANDS all of my attention!
I've been wanting to try to put curlers in her board straight hair for some time now, and I finally did it!
It started out good, with curlers everywhere, but after about 20 min. they were all falling out.  I need to buy some smaller ones and try again, but she sure looked cute!
She LOVES dressing up!
Such a show off!
Rosie is the most girly tomboy I have ever met!
She loves bugs and dinosaurs, spider man and digging in the garbage.
She loves dressing up, shoes, hats, lipstick, and babies!
C- "Hey mom, take a picture of me!"
Cruz is such a good brother, they are best buds!
Of course, stone faced!
We were headed to the library and these are the only shoes Rosie would wear!
The sandals I was TRYING to get her to put on.
In the end, this is exactly what she wore.
What an outfit!
Sometime, it's just not worth it!
Everyone thought she looked cute, even if it was 90 degrees outside and she was wearing boots!

The kiddos are growing WAY to fast!  It is so much fun!
Cruz and Rosie are quite the characters.  I love how they are really starting to play together.
Cruz's new favorite things are daddy's Ipod touch and the Wii!
He has been playing Mario Cart continuously and is actually getting pretty good!
He is going to grow up to be a computer nerd.  It is really cute though.  Every time he plays, he assumes the position.  Legs crossed, with his narration of what is happening throughout the whole game.
It is quite adorable!
Rosie is a dress up queen.
Every time I turn around she has at least one shirt on, a swim suit, pants, shorts, and probably a pair of my high heels!
Usually I have to put her in time out in order for her to allow me to put her in a suitable outfit for leaving the house.  She was arguing with me the other day, because she wanted to wear my heels to the park!
I have a shoe addict on my hands (I'm not really sure where she got that from)!

Life is good.
Sadly, I got released last week and so lots of things are changing.
We are headed west in 3 weeks!
I can't believe it and I can't think about it!
Happy.Sad.Happy.Sad.Happy.
I can't make up my mind!

Love Always,
