Rosselyn Michelle Lies October 6, 2009 11:36am

Rosselyn "Rosie" Michelle Lies
October 6. 2009 11:36am
5.14lbs

She has arrived! For those who don't know the story yet...here it is.
We decided to induce Rosie on Tuesday the 6th. We went in to the hospital at 7am and I was given the wonderful medicine at 8. To say the least the process went much quicker than anticipated. I began at a 2, at 11 I was a 6, 11:20...COMPLETE! Our amazing doctor rushed over from the office and one push later Rosselyn was born. The tiniest, sweetest little package. As you can see she has dark black hair that's an inch long in the back, but seems to be lacking in the front. She inherited Cruz's big feet, and abnormally large BIG toe! So feminine! But she is adorable! For being so small, she is such a strong little girl, and healthy too. She has had a little jaundice, but it is finally going down...Yay! No more pricking her poor bruised feet! When we went to the doctor two days later, her weight had dropped to 4.12oz and going strong. The pictures don't do her pint size any justice, but we'll get better pictures on later! The pictures of her on Tay's chest may give you a little insight.
This cute little bow looks enormous on her tiny head, but so adorable!
The birthday girl! Already changing:(
Here is Rosie in her new premie jammies. None of her newborn clothes fit...they drown her!
As you can see Daddy is adjusting to his little girl. She already has him wrapped around her finger. Every time I turn around he is holding her against his chest just like this. He is such an amazing daddy.
Taylor started school the day before delivery, and is feeling a little overwhelmed with all the changes...but still makes time for US. We love him so much.
Thank goodness for Nana Chelle! She has been such a lifesaver! We couldn't have done this without her. She and Cruz have become best buds! We love our Nana...we are so thankful for the sacrifices she is making to be with us for these few weeks!
The BIG brother! At first he didn't know what to think of our new bundle...but my how that has changed! He is SOO helpful. Everytime I turn around he is kissing her head, giving her her binky, blanky, burp cloth, anything that's hers. Any time she crys, he is right there to give her her binky. His kisses are so sweet and precious.
As you can see, he is really suffering!
Here is our handsome little boy, ready and waiting for church! He looks like such a big boy now that we have Rosie!

In case you are wondering where in the world we came up with her name, I thought we would share. We have both been going crazy trying to decide which of our names would fit the best, but none of them seemed right. Once she was born we were sitting on the bed together and Rosselyn seemed to fit. There was something about her that kept reminding of us of Grandpa Ross "Rosie"! We miss him so much, and I'm sure he was up there preparing her to come to our family. We miss him so much! The other cool thing is that her birthday is the same as her great grandpa Taylor! She is something special! We are so excited to have her in our family. We are so thankful that she is healthy and strong and that we have been blessed so much!
More pics coming soon! Love you all!
